HAF 912: Modular Hard Drive Cage Possibilities

The first is that the 3.5” HD cage can be rotated left 90 degrees and reinstalled to accommodate those users that prefer this airflow setup for their hard drives.

The options split off again here. You can leave the 3.5” HD Cage attached in either orientation and mount some 2.5” drives in the secondary cage. There are also holes on the top of the 2.5” cage to mount a liquid cooling pump. I personally don’t recommend having hard drives or SSDs installed in the cage if a pump is attached there.

Let’s say you want to install a power supply that is longer than the space available. No problem! Just move the 2.5” HD cage from where it is to the top of the fixed 3.5” HD cage. In order to do so, just remove the two front screws and slide it out of its holder.

As you can see, there’s a lot going on in this small section of the case, but it makes a huge difference in what type of hardware that can be used and how it can be installed.

I’m really interested to see how you build systems in this spacious little case. Please post links to your build logs or photos or your systems. Who knows, maybe it’ll be featured here.

I have the advanced version arriving UPS monday nov 8th, can’t wait setting entire day aside to discover all the possibilities of this baby HAF! CM told me only 200 advanced units for US and CA. I counted 9 separate upgrades from basic to advanced easily the best $40 evah spent over the $59 version which is also a great buy! Reading about so many buying the basic and then prepping the interior for primer and paint and cutting a window. Don’t see how those two upgrades plus 2 200mm fans plus 6 other upgrades can be done for $40! So overall the Advanced is a much better buy! Yeah Baby!

I know this might not be the proper forum for this, but when are you guys gonna release 912 plus in North America (specifically Canada)? I want this in a black interior so bad! :)

The HAF 912 Advanced will be available via our CM Store. I don’t have an exact date for you, but I will announce it when it becomes available.

Can I fit the SR-2 in there?

That would make it perfect, but the SR-2 requires a much larger case. The modular interior definitely makes the HAF 912 versatile enough to accommodate large graphics cards though.
