Cosmos II : The X-Docks

The Cosmos II comes equipped with a pair of X-Docks, located just under the 5.25″ drive bays. Maximum Power! Upgrading Silent Pro Hybrids

In some rigs, a modest 850W power supply is enough. In others, a more hefty 1050W is needed. And in some monolithic rigs, they require 1300W or more. Here I’m going to show you the quick and easy way to upgrade from a Silent Pro Hybrid 850W to a 1050W.

First, unplug all of the cables going to the 850W.

Next, remove the PSU and the bracket if there is one. I’m using the Cosmos II, so I need to switch it to the 1050W PSU before installing it.

Then you can just put the 1050W Silent Pro Hybrid in, and then get everything plugged back in and you’re done, having just made a fast and needed upgrade. Fast, easy and simple, I always love that.
